There are two graduate student positions (one MASc and one PhD) available to join my research group in the School of Engineering at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) in September 2025. Prospective graduate students should have background in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, or similar. The successful candidates will work within interrelated research fields including sustainable built environment, life cycle thinking, decision-making processes, circular economy, and BIM. Funding (full or partial) is available based on the research work quality and performance of the admitted students.
Application deadline for the September 2025 intake is January 15, 2025. Prospective students are required to check for MASc (Engineering) program and PhD (NRES) program requirements first (https://lnkd.in/dgfTnZ7P
) before contacting me (mohammad.kamali@unbc.ca). In your email, please include your updated CV, manuscripts, and one page cover letter explaining your research ideas and, in case you have, a brief research proposal you are interested in working on. Only the most qualified applicants (based on educational background, GPA, research experience, past publications, etc.) will be shortlisted and contacted for an interview.
Looking forward to working with talented, innovative, and motivated students with great ideas and energy for research from conceptualization to result dissemination.
