The Employer requires a suitably qualified professional engineering Consultant to assess, design, document and monitor the implementation of a remote monitoring system for sewerage and storm-water sump pump stations at O.R. Tambo International Airport. The services include field instrumentation, telemetry, communications, a cloud monitoring platform, a mobile monitoring platform and an interface to the Employer's Integrated Maintenance Control System (IMCS). The designed system is monitoring only. It shall acquire, transmit, display, store, trend and alarm approved signals. It shall not start, stop, reset, isolate, select, alternate, sequence or otherwise control any pump, motor, valve or pump- station process. No remote-control command path shall be provided from the cloud platform, mobile platform, telemetry system or IMCS. The Consultant provides professional services only. The supply, installation, configuration and commissioning of the designed system will be procured under a separate construction contract. The Consultant monitors implementation, reviews contractor submissions, witnesses testing and advises the Employer on compliance; the Consultant does not perform the construction work.
2.2.8.3 Mobile monitoring platform • Design and specify a Kotlin Multiplatform mobile application for Android and iOS that provides secure access for authorised users to view pump-station status, alarms, trends, reports and accepted alarm-acknowledgement workflows. • Use Compose Multiplatform, including Jetpack Compose Navigation principles and components where applicable, to provide a consistent user interface and navigation architecture across Android and iOS. • The mobile platform shall be monitoring only and shall not provide pump start, stop, reset, alternation, sequencing or any other pump-control function.
