4. Job Seeker & Candidate Terms

Check an opportunity and the employer’s official application instructions before providing sensitive information. Never disclose account passwords or banking PINs in response to a listing.

5. Acceptable Use

Users must not:

Violation of these acceptable use terms may result in immediate account suspension and legal action. We may restrict access or remove unlawful content to protect users and the platform.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on CareerPortals.co.za — including design, logos, text, and software — is the property of MBICT or its licensors and is protected under South African copyright law. Job listings remain the intellectual property of the posting employer. By submitting a listing, the employer authorises us to host, display, and distribute it through the platform for the purpose of providing the service. You may not reproduce or distribute Site content without written permission, except where applicable law permits.

7. Limitation of Liability

CareerPortals.co.za provides the platform “as is.” We do not verify the accuracy of employer listings or guarantee that applying for a listed vacancy will result in an interview or offer. Users should independently assess listings and external websites. We are not a party to employment contracts concluded between employers and candidates.

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, MBICT shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss arising from use of the Site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for gross negligence where prohibited, or removes rights and remedies under the Consumer Protection Act or other applicable legislation.

8. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed securely by PayFast. All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Monthly packages are non-refundable once activated, subject to statutory cancellation, cooling-off, refund, and other consumer rights that apply and cannot be excluded.

If a technical error prevents access to a paid package, contact in**@***********co.za within 7 days for a resolution. Include your account email and order reference, but do not email full payment-card details. This reporting period does not limit any longer statutory remedy period. Any applicable mandatory legal rights take precedence over these terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, without limiting any right to approach a competent regulator, ombud, tribunal, or other dispute-resolution body. The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECT Act), Consumer Protection Act (CPA), and Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) apply where relevant.

Please first contact in**@***********co.za with questions or complaints so that we can seek to resolve the matter.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. The updated version will be posted at careerportals.co.za/terms-of-use/ with the effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued rights or override mandatory legal notice requirements.

11. Effective Date

These Terms of Use are effective from 8 November 2026.
